Close to the east coast of Scotland, at cycling distance from Edinburgh and amidst open farmland, lies the quiet Camping Linwater Caravanpark. It is an ideal spot for seekers of peace and quiet, walkers or those interested in a city trip to the Scottish capital. The Pentland Hills Regional Park and various other country parks are in the immediate vicinity.

Luxury lodges

The well-kempt terrain consists of an open camping lawn with some flower beds, partially shielded by trees and shrubs on the periphery. There are paved pitches along gravel paths for caravans and campers, while tents stand on grassland. Want to hire something? You can choose between hiker's cabins and luxury Scandinavian lodges with a terrace, barbecue and chairs.

Playground

Recently, a playground was laid out for children; otherwise, there is not much to do on the camping grounds. This in contrast to the surrounding area. Close to the campsite lies the Calderwood and Almondell Country Park; from there you can go on lovely walks along the river Almond. There is a walking trail along the Union Canal in the direction of Linlithgow, which starts in Ratho. Are you looking for something else? People at the reception will gladly assist you. Furthermore, you will find all necessary information about sights in the region there.

Small shop

At the reception is a small shop with a limited assortment. Milk, bread and newspapers can be ordered daily. In East Calder (3 km away) you can do your daily shopping and in Livingston (6 km away) you will find large supermarkets.

Sanitary facilities

The modern sanitary facilities are located in a stylish Scandinavian building and are kept immaculate. There are private cabins and facilities for disabled persons.

Travelling party: Group of friends

Very nice Campsite, close to Edinburgh airport so expect some noise. It\'s proximity to the airport also means a very convenient way to get to the city centre via public transport.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
