Space, quiet and green
The site consists of about thirty pitches on beautiful grassy banks. These are bordered by trees and shrubs. In the slightly sloping grass field, platforms have been laid out for caravans and motorhomes. This saves having to level your camping equipment. Furthermore, there are paved camper pitches. The campsite is surrounded by meadows, so it's nice and quiet here in the green. In the Campers Cottage you can cook and sit by the fireplace. If you are not camping, you can stay in a nice hiker's hut.
Homey and cosy
At The Shepherds Rest Pub, the atmosphere is friendly. You have plenty of space and it is nice and quiet. Most guests come to the campsite to cycle or walk in the area. The campsite is less suitable for children, although there is some play equipment.
A secluded spot
There is no restaurant on the campsite, but you can go to the homely pub for simple
simple, good meals. There is also a recreation room with games, books and a television. Because you are in such a remote place, you won't have much range with your phone. Also the internet reception is not the best. The Shepherds Rest Pub does not offer wifi. So it's back to basics...
