Camping Riarena, located in the southern canon of Ticino near Cugnasco, offers a quiet camping experience on the Magadino plain close to Lago Maggiore. This excellent quality campsite, crowned with the ACSI Award for the Best Swiss Campsite of 2023, is perfect for exploring Ticino's stunning mountain landscape, lakes and cities.

Spaciously laid out site with touring pitches and caravans for rent

Camping Riarena has a spacious and well-maintained site with various pitches, including standard and premium pitches near the swimming pool. There is also a playground. Lovely furnished caravans are available for rent, with free wifi throughout.

Large outdoor swimming pool with paddling pool and bar

The site has a large outdoor swimming pool of 250 square metres, ideal for swimming laps or for refreshment on sunny days and a paddling pool. Drinks and ice creams are available at the pool bar.

Lovely food in the versatile campsite restaurant

The campsite restaurant offers a mix of Swiss and international dishes and has an adjacent games room for children. There is a small shop at the campsite for daily groceries and fresh bread and Lavertezzo is a five-minute drive away for more extensive shopping.

Fully equipped toilet and washing facilities

The centrally located toilet block is fully equipped with hand basins, laundry, baby cleaning station and plenty of toilets and showers, including an adapted bathroom for the disabled.

Explore Ticino from the campsite

Camping Riarena is an ideal starting point for exploring Ticino. The cities of Locarno and Bellinzona can be reached within 15 minutes, and the eastern banks of Lago Maggiore are even closer. The area around Cugnasco offers options for walking and cycling trips, mountain sports such as paragliding and canyoning, and the impressive 130-metre-long Tibetano suspension bridge.

Wir fahren jedes Jahr bis zu zweimal auf diesen Campingplatz. Sauber, praktische Sanitäre Anlagen. vieles neu angelegt. Sehr hilfsbereite, freundliche Chefin.

Der Riarena ist seut geraumer Zeit immer 2 x pro Jahr unser Ziel. Nicole am Empfang ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft in Person. Die Stellplätze vielfach sehr schattig und ansprechend gross. Direkt vom Platz aus gelangt man auf gut markierte Fahrradrouten und herrliche Spazierwege. Der platzeigene Pool ist genial und das Restaurant dem Platz hat für mich schlicht Gourmetcharakter. Ich freue mich bereits auf das nächste Filet Gulasch Stroganoff, ein Traum ! Für nächstes Frühjahr haben wir bereits wieder eine Traumparzelle reserviert. Wir freuen uns auf den xten Aufenthalt.

Waren im Mai 23dort auf dem Campingplatz und im Oktober wieder und ab 24 machen wir ein Festplatz der camplatz ist nur zum weiterempfehlen es stimmt alles !!Vom Empfang her über das Personal alles perfekt!

Wie immer !! Freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit wenn wir Unterstützung brauchen. Tolle Umgebung zum Wandern, Bike und schwimmen im See oder im Bassin. Sehr gutes öv-netz, mit der Touristenkarte gratis.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Frau Berner hat uns manch nützlichen Rat gegeben. In der Rezeption bekommt man neben Brot und Brötchen viele Artikel des täglichen Bedarfs. Neben der Rezeption ist ein sehr gutes Speiselokal. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen werden regelmäßig gepflegt, Stromversorgung (16 Amp.) ist sehr gut. Man kann kostenfrei WLAN nutzen. Vermutlich werden noch einige Wasserzapfstellen auf dem Gelände entstehen und ein wenig mehr Wegbeleuchtung. Alles mit einem Schlag geht eben nicht. Für die Kurabgabe erhält der Gast das "Ticino-Ticket". Damit nutzt man kostenfrei öffentliche Busse und Bahnen und bekommt diverse Preisnachlässe.

Sehr freundliche Inhaber und Personal. Der Platz liegt direkt an einem Fahrradweg. Man bekommt ein Ticino-Ticket mit dem kann man die öffentliche Bahn und Busse gratis benutzen.

Die Campingplatzbetreiber setzen sich voll dafür ein, dass der Aufenthalt auf dem Campingplatz gelingt. Sehr freundlich und unkompliziert!
Dass Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, auch der Service ist nicht zu beanstanden.
Die Sanitäranlagen waren immer sauber und der Pool hat eine ansprechende Grösse.
Wir kommen gerne wieder :-))).
