Camping am See is situated in a beautiful region. The campsite, located on the south side of the Walensee, is nestled against the Swiss village of Murg (Sankt Gallen). The campsite goes down to the crystal clear lake, which is excellent for swimming. Your pitch is surrounded by high mountains, offering you an unequalled view. The key words that apply here are: tranquillity, nature and sports activities. In winter Camping am See is an excellent base for the ski enthusiasts. For instance, the Flumserberg is a lovely ski area (65 km of pistes), which you can reach in a 15-minute drive.

Camping on a green campsite
The pitches are separated from each other. There are permanent pitches and touring pitches. The grass surface is well maintained. Everything looks green, although there are only a few trees that offer ample shade. Fortunately, the young vegetation is trying its utmost!
The 'W' of Walking and Water
The crystal clear Walensee is excellent for swimming. There are large boulders along the banks from which you have to clamber down. Water sports lovers are allowed to do kite(surfing) and canoeing on the lake. Apart from a small play area with slide, there is not much to do on the campsite for small children.
Nice food and fresh bread
There is a snack bar and a restaurant on the campsite. The restaurant is convivial and has a small, but fine menu. There is no real campsite shop on the grounds, although there is a kiosk with the most essential products, such as fresh bread. You can do your daily shopping in Murg. Alternatively, you can drive to the village of Mollis (south-westerly) or to Walenstadt (easterly) for more shops.
