The lovely First Camp Västerås-Mälaren campsite is on the outskirts of the charming city of Västerås by Lake Malar. Here, you combine the spacious Swedish feel of camping by a lake, with lovely outings to lively cities such as Stockholm. Discover the lovely beaches around the lake and on the islands and enjoy the enchanting sunsets.

Spacious waterfront campsite

When you come onto the site, you instantly see that it's a spaciously laid out campsite. With roughly 260 pitches and about 30 chalets and hiker's cabins, there is plenty of choice for your overnight stay. There are also 60 pitches for regular guests. The site is divided into various fields with paved paths. All the pitches are spacious and the toilet and washing facilities are neat and quite new.

In the countryside and yet central

The campsite attracts a varied public including families, seniors and water enthusiasts, who come for the beautiful setting by Lake Malar. The campsite is in a reasonably central location, on the outskirts of the city of Västeräs, which is a 15-minute cycle ride away. And yet, it offers more than a purely countryside experience. You can take a boat to the various forested islands, where you will find beautiful swimming beaches. Ideal for summer days!

Kayaks, sauna and ‘fika’

The campsite offers excellent facilities and there is plenty to do for young and old. There is a miniature golf course, and you can join in with sports lessons in the summer. There is a great playground for the children and, like at many Swedish campsites, a sauna too. You can hire canoes and kayaks to explore the lake.

Travelling party: Couple

zeer slechte ligging, lijkt net een parkeerplaats met uitzicht op grote stroomcentrale en op zonnige dagen zeer laag overvliegende sportvliegtuigen om het kwartier/half uur van nabij vliegveld die parachutisten dropt. en kort nabij drukke weg. eens maar nooit meer.
