Småland is Sweden in miniature: there is a wealth of forests, lakes and traditions. In Hultsfred, in the heart of Småland, lies campsite Hultsfred on Lake Hulingen. The campsite is only a 10-minute walk away from the centre of the small town and approx. 20 km from Astrid Lindgren's Värld, the theme park based on the characters from Astrid Lindgren's stories.

Nature camping with free pitch selection
One could best describe the campsite as a natural campsite with open grounds and no demarcated pitches, where you are free to choose your own place. The campsite has a small reception where you can buy a limited supply of groceries and bread in peak season. The campsite has seventeen basic trekker huts (maximum four persons).
Småland forests
The campsite is situated amidst the vast Småland forests and serves well as a base for cycling and car trips in the surrounding area. The campsite has a small sandy beach on the lake, where the shore gradually slopes down. At the reception you can hire boats for trips on the lake, also suitable for angling, of course.
Astrid Lindgren
The main attraction in the area is the Astrid Lindgrens Värld theme park. Young and old can lose themselves in the stories of the author Astrid Lindgren, who grew up in this region. The house in which Astrid grew up is located in Näs (22 km) and the farm of her grandparents is in Bullerby (23 km). Thus, if you want to find out more about Astrid Lindgren, there is no better campsite than Hultsfred!
