On the eastern bank of lake Siljan, between Leksand and lRättvik, you will find the historical small town of Tällberg. When Siljan tourism became popular in the late 19th century, the first tourist hotels were constructed here. It is exactly these kinds of classic hotels that give the village its reputation. Tällbergs Campsite, on the other hand, is a very basic and unpretentious campsite, ideal for people who like peace and quiet.

View
The focus is on the view over Siljan, although this rural area is also excellent for lovely walks and cycle trips. The pitches are spacious and especially the pitches at the water's edge are magical. Of course, this Swedish campsite also has camping huts for rent. They are all rather basic, but clean and well-maintained. Especially the ‘härbre’, an old type of storage shed, is popular with visitors.
Shopping
Surprisingly, Tällberg is a nice place to find local arts and crafts. For serious shopping, you will have to go to Rättvik or Leksand.
Santaworld
The surroundings of Siljan form part of the most popular tourist areas of the country and people come from far afield to enjoy nature, the culture and the imposing views. From the campsite, you can easily make day trips to towns in the vicinity of Siljan, such as Mora. This larger town has everything to offer. In Gesunda, not far from Mora, it is Christmas all year round in Tomteland (Santaworld) : you will find out everything there is to know about Santa.
