The Catalan campsite Mas Nou is located on the Costa Brava near Figueres, the town from which the artist Salvador Dalí hails. You camp here on neatly maintained grounds with a view of the mountains and within easy reach of the sea. Get ready to spend several days by the Mediterranean Sea, as the Empuriabrava beach is only some four km from the campsite.

Camping pitches with shade

A few wide, paved roads lead to the pitches. There are quite a number of them: some 450 touring pitches are allocated to campers who come to the Catalan coast with tent, caravan or motorhome. Carefully planted trees provide each pitch with shade. This also applies to the colourful bungalows, located at the back of the campsite.

Mediterranean paradise

Across the road is the outdoor swimming pool of the campsite. This spacious pool is surrounded by tall palm trees and oleanders. A day at the beach is a distinct possibility. The road to the beach, some four km long, leads you through Empuriabrava. The town has numerous canals. Very beautiful!

Sports and entertainment

For those campers looking to work up a sweat under the Spanish sun, there are several sports fields on the camping grounds. A game of tennis, basketball, soccer or pétanque are among the possibilities. There is a lovely entertainment programme for young and old: from a disco for children to swimming pool games and theatre shows.

Fresh bread

Doing your grocery shopping near campsite Mas Nou is a breeze. Just around the corner you will find a large supermarket. Fresh bread is available from the campsite itself.

"Located in the tourist village of Castello D’Empùries and about 3 km from the coast. Figueres (Dali museum) and Barcelona are nearby. The campsite is perfect for children, with plenty of entertainment. A large store is within walking distance (500 metres)."

Liked - The first welcome from the receptionists at the check-in was excellent. The pitches were spacious and the sanitary facilities were kept clean despite the amount of people staying at the campsite during eastern. We liked the opportunity to buy fresh bread and croissants every morning.
Disliked - We do not like when there is not any toilet paper in each cabin. It is hard to ”plan” for your toilet visits beforehand. During our stay it rained a lot and preparing the pitches with gravel instead of grass might avoid puddles and that it got muddy.

Excellent campsite in an excellent location. Stayed here for the last 8 nights of their 2023 season - wish we could have stayed longer At Mas Nou, everything \"just works\" - and it all works really well - right up until they close. Did not bring children, buy food/drink, want entertainment or use sports facilities other than the lovely swimming pools. 3 star score for these reflects lack of knowledge rather than any problems. The things that matter, inclufding lovely pitches, faultless sanitary facilities, friendly staff and stellar value at ACSI rates are all 5 star rated without hesitation.

Mooie camping, ondanks dat hij vlak bij grote weg ligt rustig.
Fijn zwembad, mag van mij vroeger open! Wij hadden fiets bij ons en konden makkelijk naar strand fietsen .

Further from the old town centre of Castello d\'Empuries than expected from the description. All facilities excellent and clean but I was badly bitten by insects so suspect location may be too close to marshland.
