Camping Gran Sol is situated in the north of Spain, just south of Andorra. Here you find the Spanish Pyrenees towering over the landscape as well as the capricious Segre river. Campsite Gran Sol is an ideal spot for active campers. The area is ideal for outdoor activities: a brisk hike through the Spanish mountain landscape or rafting down the wild river.

Level camping pitches
From the entrance you can see the town of Montferrer, high atop the mountain overlooking the campsite. You can see the mountains all around campsite Gran Sol, but the campsite itself is in a level area. The grounds are well organised: you camp on spacious pitches which are shaded by planted trees.
Cooling off in the pool
After a long mountain walk in the Spanish sun, a refreshing dive is just what you need. The spacious swimming pool is just the ticket to cool down. Perfect for swimming a few laps. At times there is a lively atmosphere, at other times it can be surprisingly quiet.
Restaurant
The campsite has a small shop which stocks a few items. You can do your daily shopping in La Seu d'Urgell, located at some three km from the campsite. However, before you start preparing a meal, have a look at the extensive restaurant menu.
Hiking and rafting
At campsite Gran Sol you camp in a magnificent area which is extremely suitable for a number of outdoor activities. You can walk (or ride your mountain bike) from the campsite straight into the mountains. To paraphrase: 'and what goes up must come down'. By paragliding, for instance. The Segre river, a few hundred metres from the campsite, has a rather capricious nature. Ideal for rafting.
