On the rocky Costa Brava lies Cala Pola La Ballena Alegre. You can camp directly on an intimate beach at this cosy campsite. Set up your tent under an old olive tree and pull on your swimsuit. Because you can walk straight from your camping pitch into the Mediterranean! And, of course, you can take a dip in the pool. The restaurant is the place to be if you want to have a good time and a delicious meal.

Camping by the beach

Your pitch is located on one of the terraces, nestled under an old (olive) tree. The further you are towards the coast, the nicer the pitches. And the quicker you can get to the beach from your camping spot. However, the view is beautiful no matter where you're camped. You look out onto the green rocks, which enclose the campsite. The view will help you feel like you're far away from the busy civilized world.

A refreshing swim

You may have already seen it on the other side of the reception: the swimming pool. Together with the playground, this swimming pool is the centre of the campsite. Especially for the younger campers. You can take a refreshing dip in the water every day. Even for our smallest guests. Next to the large pool is a small paddling pool.

Skatepark

You won't be bored if you like a bit of action either. There's a skatepark near the campsite. Here your tough teenage sons and daughters can go wild. On their own or under the guidance of a professional BMX'er. He will be happy to teach the campers all his tips and tricks. Bring your bike, scooter or skateboard or rent one.

Travelling party: Seniors

Wij hadden een kampeerplaats eind aug/begin sept. Bijna alle kampeerplaatsen zijn in de volle zon. De camping is erg duur. De camping ligt prachtig aan een prachtige baai, maar het strand van die baai is enorm druk, met name van mensen van buiten de camping. Alles op de camping is vernieuwd of gerenoveerd, dus dat is fijn maar wij vonden alles niet schoon. Het sanitair, de vloer rondom het zwembad en het restaurant zijn gewoon niet schoon. Als je om 4 uur iets wil drinken in het restaurant zijn een groot deel van de tafels nog niet afgeruimd van de lunch en de tafels zijn vies, peuken op de vloer van het terras. Het personeel is niet bijster vriendelijk. De camping is veel te duur voor het gebodene. Wij komen niet meer terug.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Cala pola is meer een resort camping.met afgebakende plaatsen. Er zijn ongeveer 100 kampeer plaatsen en de rest zijn huurbare accomodaties.
Het sanitair oogt aan het begin van het seizoen mooi en schoon maar naargelange het seizoen wordt het echt slecht schoongemaakt en is het ronduit vies. Het Sanitair heeft een ASCI prijs gewonnen.. maar dar is niet terrecht.
De animatie is leuk maar spreken alleen maar Spaans. Het strand is mooi maar hier liggen meer mensen van buitenaf dan van de camping zelf .
Je kan zien dat het sinds dit jaar volledig gerenoveerd is maar of dit een verbetering is, is de vraag. Je mist de Spaanse gezezelligheid. Het voelt nu meer sfeerloos en steriel aan.
We hebben een prima vakantie gehad omdat we veel in Tossa de mar waren maar volgendjaar gaan wij niet meer terug naar Cala Pola.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Er lopen wilde zwijnen rond, heel smerig en gevaarlijk, 4,5 km vd bewoonde wereld, geen animatie, management doet hier niks aan, ze weten van de zwijnen maar melden dit bewust niet aan de gasten! ik raad dit niemand aan, we hebben voor twee weken betaald maar zijn na een paar dagen vertrokken, zoek iets anders want dit is vreselijk

We hebben hier een heerlijke week doorgebracht. Vanaf de camping hebben we tochten gemaakt door Catalonië. Het was een erg fijne camping vooral vanwege de ligging.
