In the extreme north-eastern part of Spain, on the well known Costa Brava, lies Camping La Ballena Alegre. This large campsite (more than 1100 pitches), located directly by the sea, is a veritable holiday paradise. Sun worshippers, water sports enthusiasts and families with children have been coming to this campsite for years. The campsite restaurant has a wide selection of tasty dishes. A unique feature is the separate camping area for dog owners.

Broad range of accommodations

Camping La Ballena Alegre has no less than eight hundred touring pitches and more than three hundred rental accommodation units (bungalows and chalets). Most of the pitches are spacious and enclosed. Furthermore, the surface is mainly flat and covered with grass, which is perfect for campers. The pitches are well organised: each lane has its own access route.

Holiday paradise for all

Families will immediately feel at home on Camping La Ballena Alegre. Both young and old will be able to cool off in the beautiful outdoor swimming pools. You can, of course, also swim and relax in the largest 'swimming pool' at the campsite: the Mediterranean Sea! You can reach the large beach via one of the roads from the campsite. You can also indulge in windsurfing, waterskiing. snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing and fishing, all across the sea.

Entertainment

The other facilities at the campsite are also geared towards the entire family. Children can play the day away with all the activities and entertainment available. There is also a playground on the premises. Teenagers can keep themselves amused for hours in the recreational area, which includes gaming machines and a billiards table. There are several sports fields open for use. Not to mention that at night, you can show off your latest dance moves at the dance club on the campsite.

"Located by the beach, with beautiful pitches and clean toilet facilities. There is plenty to do for young people. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday. An almost 2 km long magnificent sandy beach. A special family campsite. This campsite is at one with the beach and the sea."

Travelling party: Couple

Very dog friendly. We have now stayed at the site four times and have already booked for summer 2022. The only downside to the location is it’s a long walk or a short car journey to the towns and restaurants.
I would highly recommend a visit.
