This typical Spanish campsite is located in a beautiful spot on the Costa Brava. You camp within walking distance of the beach. Camping Les Medes is praised for its friendly staff and its sanitary facilities that are always kept spic and span. You will be staying at a small family-run business here, so the contact is very personal. The site is located two kilometres from L'Estartit and 4 kilometres from the Parc Natural del Montgrí.

A shady place

The camping pitches are demarcated and small-scale. More spacious spaces are also available. You can camp in the shade on the pitches, because there are plenty of trees on the site. There are also various bungalows accommodating from two to four people. The campsite is well maintained.

Close to the beach

The swimming pools are located at the front of the site: an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a children's pool. A bathing cap is mandatory in the indoor pool. For campers with reduced mobility, the large outdoor pool has a hoist. The beach is only 800 meters from the campsite. So you can easily walk or cycle there. Part of the beach is also accessible for dogs and the campsite has a dog shower area.

Delicious Spanish dishes

Time to feast. The restaurant serves Spanish dishes of a high standard. You can choose a menu or eat à la carte. You can also pick up takeaway food there. There is also a snack bar-pizzeria and a small supermarket where you can buy fresh bread.

Travelling party: Couple

This is a little jewel of a site, situated near a stunningly beautiful beach and a small town. Well positioned as close to shops, beach and town. The site is very quiet, close to a nature reserve, interesting for bird watchers or amateur geologists. Its open and light - we visited in winter so this was a must have - the facilities were excellent, beautifully maintained and perfectly clean. Staff were friendly and efficient, helpful and kind. Free Spanish lessons are on offer each afternoon. The outdoor pool looked great although in December we didn't test it out. There's also an indoor pool. There seems to be plenty for children to do, though we didn't have any with us; and lots of walking/cycling in the area. We loved staying here and will definitely be back.
