Gran Camping Zarautz lies in Spanish Basque Country, close to the centre of the coastal resort with the same name. The terraced campsite is located on the Talai Mendi hill from where you have a beautiful view of the Zarautz Bay. This beautiful location makes this campsite an ideal home base for campsite visitors who love the countryside and water sports. The campsite has many amenities for entertainment, but it is also an ideal location for learning to relax in the midst of nature.

Perfect home base for the countryside and the city

Campsite visitors stay on demarcated pitches at the well-managed campsite. You can also find luxury glamping accommodation on the camping grounds. If sleeping in camping equipment is not your thing, another option is to stay overnight in the hostel.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at the campsite restaurant where you will savour the local cuisine. During the high season, the entertainment team organises activities for the youngest campsite guests. There are daily sports lessons for the adults, such as yoga and Zumba. There is a playground, both indoors and outdoors, a sauna and a health club that all campsite visitors may use.

441 steps to the beach

At the edge of the campsite, you have a beautiful view of the surrounding area. A long steep stairway (441 steps) will allow you to descend to the Zarautz beach. The beach is ideal for water sports activities such as surfing and kayaking. In the summer a shuttle bus runs from the campsite to the famous water sports resort of Zarautz. The campsite is also the starting point of many lovely walks and mountain bike routes in the immediate vicinity.

very cramped pitch but great location, very clean shower/loo block plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. Great storm in night but facilities coped. staff friendly and helpful.

Travelling party: Couple

Booked a 2 night stopover at this lovely site but just had to book a 3rd. Amazing views, fantastic staff and immaculately clean.
Nice gym with cardio equipment and a quality multi-gym.
Lovely walks into the town either down the cliff or on the road. The town is not a tourist resort but still plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
We will back in 2023.
