At the beginning of the Sunnfjord, in the westernmost part of Norway, lies the small town of Førde. On the outskirts of Førde you will find the quietly situated Førde Gjestehus og Campsite. The location is perfect and the campsite can easily be reached from the E39. Because of its proximity to the town, the sights are at walking distance. The campsite of Førde forms an ideal departure point for expeditions in the beautiful world of ‘fjord and fjell’, the fjords and mountains of Norway.

Førde Gjestehus og Camping is directly situated on the Jølstra river, which flows from the mountains into the fjord. The turbulent water is extremely suitable for challenging rafting trips. You can go on forest walks from the campsite. The campsite grounds are flat with paved, spacious pitches for campers and caravans. There is also a grassed area where you can pitch your tent.
Rental accommodation for all
The reception is situated in the main building, where you can also rent rooms, apartments and conference rooms. It goes without saying that this Scandinavian campsite also offers rental accommodation such as hikers huts/holiday bungalows, from basic to luxury. In the communal kitchen you can use the oven and microwave to prepare your meals.
Activities in the area
Førde has a few museums, including the Sogn of Fjordane Kunst Museum and the regional museum Sunnfjordmuseum. Furthermore, the Førdehus in town houses a large, indoor swimming pool with separate children's pool, a 38 m high climbing wall, a bowling alley, a cinema and a library. Perfect for rainy days.
