Lone Camping, located in Haukeland (province of Hordaland), is in a lovely location on a lake. You'll enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. The campsite is located only twenty kilometres from the centre of Bergen. Handy: the buses toward Bergen stop in front of the campsite. Bergen is a city with a lovely historic centre with the Bryggen quay as the eye-catcher. It is on the list of Unesco world heritage sites.

The reception is simple and consists of only one counter. The first contact is made by the reception staff, who will handle the formalities and can answer nearly all of your questions. You drive into the campsite from the reception. Consider that this is a very busy campsite. Not strange, considering the popularity of the Norwegian fjords in general and especially the city of Bergen.
Wet and dry
The pitches are not demarcated and the guests can choose a site. There is a choice between pitches on gravel and on the grass, on the water. The pitches on the water have a lovely view, but can be a bit muddy in the wet seasons. Pitches with gravel are therefore better. Like all campsites in Scandinavia, Lone Camping has typical Scandinavian trekker huts and holiday cottages for hire.
Lone Camping has no shop or restaurant, but just before the entrance to the campsite there are two regular supermarkets. There is also a restaurant with a large menu next to the petrol station a bit further on, while the petrol station does have a snack bar.
