The amiable family campsite Strandbad Edam is situated along the Markermeer, at the port entrance of Edam. You have a beautiful view over the Markermeer. The area attracts visitors from all over the world. You can amble through the narrow streets of quaint IJsselmeer villages and small towns, like Marken, Monnickendam and Volendam.

Well maintained camping lawns

The L-shaped campsite is beautifully situated along the Markermeer, part of the IJsselmeer. From the reception you drive over a tarred road to your camping pitch on one of the well maintained camping fields. Interspersed by trees. The camping pitches, which are adequate in size, are not separated. There are a number of rental trekker huts on the campsite.

Jetty for surfing and swimming

Children can romp around to their heart's content on family camping Strandbad Edam. There is a large lawn for them, a playground and a children's swimming pool with view of the Markermeer. For water sports enthusiasts there is a surfing and swimming jetty, stretching out into the Markermeer for quite a distance. Enjoy the view over the lake from one of the chairs along the water's edge. Backpackers can prepare a meal in a specially equipped cooking area.

Restaurant with view over the Markermeer

On the campsite grounds, near the mouth of the canal which connects the Markermeer with Edam, is a restaurant with a large terrace with sun umbrellas. This stunning location is great to spend sunny days here. There is no shop or supermarket on the campsite. You can do your shopping in nearby Edam.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Bonjour ,Varois présents 5 nuits 12-18 septembre 2020 en caravane , très bien pour visiter les environs et bus pour Amsterdam central ...avons passé 4 nuits auparavant au zeeburg ,, on a préféré Edam ....
