The peaceful campsite Kampeerbos de Simonshoek is the place to be if you are looking to enjoy nature. The campsite, which is a forest measuring some eight hectares, features a large swimming pool. Children can play in the playground or the air trampoline. Get something to eat and drink at the campsite restaurant. Fun fact: Kampeerbos de Simonshoek has been around for over fifty years.

Camping in a forest

The campsite is called Kampeerbos (camping forest) de Simonshoek for a reason. There are trees everywhere you look, providing you with plenty of shade. At the front of the campsite, you will find many permanent pitches; the other camping fields are located along the side and further back. The pitches on these sites are spacious but not really demarcated, with the exception of a few hedges. The campsite has 75 touring pitches and 100 permanent year-round pitches (mobile homes and chalets).

A unique treehouse

There are five unique rental accommodations available; a luxury safari tent nad four 'camping barrels'. These round wooden huts are a sight to behold. Two of these camping barrels are situated on the ground, the other two are located in a tree. The camping barrel offers space for four people. A daily breakfast is provided for people staying in one of these camping (tree) barrels.

Swimming in the indoor pool

Directly next to the entrance of the campsite you will find the large swimming pool (265 m2) with a sliding roof. With a water temperature of around 29 degrees, it is very pleasant here. Besides swimming laps, you can also slide down the colourful slide. For smaller children there is a separate paddling pool (105 m2).

Wij gaan al verschillende jaren achter elkaar naar deze camping.
We gaan met z’n 3e elke keer voor de safaritent.
Een tent met alle benodigdheden, slaapkamers , badkamer , keuken etc. Gewoon een luxe verblijf met een doekje erom.
Wij kunnen er geen genoeg van krijgen en hebben voor het nieuwe seizoen weer 3 weken geboekt.
Het is een rustige camping met een prachtig vernieuwd zwembad wat geweldig is. Lekker zacht aan de voeten en heerlijk water… zeker met 32 graden buiten en dat het dak geheel open is… dat is pas genieten.
Dan lekker op het terras een heerlijke Mango radler met lekkere ijsjes…
‘s avonds heerlijk bbqen en genieten.
Bedankt Camping de Simonshoek voor alweer een prachtige vakantie met mooie herinneringen!!

Weinig toiletten, slechts één afwasplek voor heel veel kampeerders. Slechts twee douches.
Onvriendelijke receptie. Veel te veel verboden en geboden. Vaste staanplaatsen verdienen wel een opknapbeurt.

Ik begrijp niet dat jullie daar jullie naam aan geven ,geen of weinig gasten ,houden zich niet aan n de afspraken,wij hadden een zeisoen plaats maar zijn 2 maanden eerder weggegaan vroegen niet waarom deze mensen moeten snel hun camping verkopen.

al 4 jaar een jaarplaats stacaravan in het bos met prima zwembad, lekker eten en drinken in restaurant daar; veel wandel/fietsgelegenheid in prachtige natuur in het gezellige dorp Meijel.

De eigenaresse van de camping is erg onvriendelijk en houdt zich strikt aan de regels. Er kan geen goede morgen van af. Op de laatste dag mochten geen extra auto op het terrein zetten om de spullen in te laden, ondanks het feit dat er helemaal niemand op de camping was. Bij het uitchecken werd niet eens gevraagd hoe ons verblijf was!
