The Hitjesvijver campsite is located on the edge of Heerlen in Limburg. This friendly campsite is located in the hilly region of Parkstad Limburg. You can camp near Kerkrade, Landgraaf and Valkenburg, or in Belgium and Germany. The campsite has separate pitches for campers, and there are several other nice accommodations. Car-free pitches

The Hitjesvijver campsite has various pitches with and without shade. All pitches are car-free. If you're coming with a caravan, then you'll be setting up somewhere else. The caravan places are kept separate from the camping pitches. This city campsite also has furnished lodge tents with sanitary facilities, chalets and mobile homes. Are you looking for something with a bit of extra atmosphere or do your children like an adventure? Then book one of the hiker's huts at altitude.

Playing together

Swimming, playing and making friends; many families with (young) children stay at this campsite for the summer. But they are not the only guests because older folks also know how to find this campsite. They book a place here in both high and low seasons. And because the campsite is close to the A76, it is also very popular as a stopover campsite.

Swimming in a boat?

This friendly campsite has a beautiful swimming pool in the shape of a big boat. There is an accompanying children's pool and several playgrounds nearby. You will also find a nice brasserie on the grounds. The spacious terrace overlooks the pool and playground. The brasserie, which was opened in 2018, has a cosy interior and an extensive menu.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Comfortable stay with a motorhome on hard standing pitch. Motorhome service point available. Good security with key for entry and exit from the site. Shops within walking distance. For summer months outdoor pool and a brassiere ( which opens in June).
Disliked - There was a lot of renovation work particularly to the sanitation building with only 2 unisex showers and toilets however they were clean. I think when this work is completed it will be lovely and a good site to visit.
