't Strandheem Campsite lies in a natural and quiet location in the far north of the country, between the lively provincial capitals of Groningen and Leeuwarden. Children of all ages will have the time of their lives here; they will even be one step ahead with the welcoming Brems family. Next to the campsite there is a large recreational lake where guests can enjoy the beautiful sandy beach. But that's not all there is at this family campsite. Camping
There are more than 200 pitches divided between multiple compact camping fields with lots of trees. The pitches are not divided from one another, creating an open atmosphere. The size of the pitches varies, from standard pitches, to comfort pitches which are very spacious. If you're coming with the car, you can park at your pitch.
Barefoot walking
Between Peebos and the Kalewag, about 10 minutes' drive from the campsite, there is a special path: 't Blôde Fuottenpaad, the Barefoot Path. Here you can experience the beautiful natural surroundings in a different way; walk the 3km round trip on bare feet. Enjoy walking through the mud, water and grass. On the way, you can relax in a hammock or on a bench. On one side of the Kaleweg, there is water with a beach. At Peebos, you can have a drink. If you'd prefer to leave your shoes or boots on, that's allowed too. It's all about enjoying being outdoors with each other.
