Camping on a country estate amidst vast woodland and natural areas? You can do this on Camping Jena in Hummelo. This campsite is a stone's throw away from Doetinchem. It is an ideal location for families with small children and nature lovers. They like to explore the attractive area by bicycle or on foot. The reception of the campsite is located in a stately, characteristic farmhouse.

Enghuizen Estate

The grounds of the campsite are located on Landgoed Enghuizen, in the middle of the woods. The terrain is orderly, calm and peaceful. The spacious, sunny pitches vary in size and are located on a beautiful lawn at the edge of the woods. There is a separate field for groups with a maximum of thirty camping set-ups. You can also rent trekker huts.

Gnome tours and canoe trips

Children have sufficient space to really enjoy themselves. For instance, there is a large play and sports field, measuring a whopping 1.5 ha. Also good fun: the air-trampoline and the bicycle cross track. Furthermore, there is a (beach)volleyball field and a bad weather provision in an attractive barn. From the campsite there is a lovely gnome tour into the woods, where children find their way around with a GPS.

In summer, bread rolls are made on a campfire and canoe trips are organised in Laag-Keppel, located at 1 km from the campsite.

Fresh bread and snacks

Groceries are in limited supply at the campsite. However, fresh bread is available daily. More shopping options are at a distance of some 2 km from the campsite. There is a snack bar on the campsite. Do you want a wider choice? There are a large number of restaurants in close proximity (Hummelo and Doetinchem).

Super slecht, 2 weken betaald aL na 1 nacht vertrokken. Geen WiFi op de fiets naar toilet. En zeer onvriendelijk behandeld door de bazin.

Het verblijf was kort en krachtig. Bij aankomst aangegeven dat er 2 dagen later 2 kleinkinderen van 4 en 5 jaar zouden komen en gevraagd of dat een probleem zou zijn. Na wat intern overleg kregen wij toestemming om onze kampeerplaats in te richten. Net daarmee klaar en de eigenaresse kwam ons vertellen dat wij alsnog de camping de volgende dag zo vroeg mogelijk moesten verlaten omdat wij de regels hadden overtreden. Het vooruit betaalde geld was inmiddels al terug gestort onder aftrek van 1 nacht verblijf aldaar. Tevens had zij een en ander per mail bevestigd. Op onze vraag welke regel wij zouden hebben overtreden werd geen antwoord gegeven behalve dat wij hun site beter hadden moeten bekijken. Ze draaide zich om en liep weg.
De volgende dag werden wij nog gebeld met de mededeling dat ze ons zou aanklagen wegens smaad als wij een negatieve beoordeling van de camping zouden plaatsen. Ook had ze het over camerabeelden die ze zou inbrengen. Na haar zegje gedaan te hebben, hing ze op, ons in verbijstering achterlatend achter onze koffie in een wegrestaurant.

Wij hebben 5 nachten gekampeerd. Mooie verzorgde camping. Douchen was op afspraak in een superschone doucheruimte. Toilet overdag mogelijk op verzoek, ook heel schoon.
