RCN de Jagerstee is a a lovely campground in a forested part of the Veluwe, within walking distance from Epe. A wonderful starting point to explore the lovely Geldern nature. In the forests there is an extensive network of cycling paths, so you can exlore the area on your bike. Not far away are the cities of Hattem and Deventer, lovely destinations for a day trip.

Well maintained, much greenery

The site makes a well-maintained impression. The very green plants catch your eye. The campsites are spacious. They are the same size over the campground and set up in a comparable manner. Around the camping fields there are trees to provide shade in the summer. The sanitary facilities are wonderful. Rental accommodations are on their own part of the campground. You have a choice of bell tents, luxury mobile homes, 6-person accommodations and trekker huts for 2, 4 or 6 people.

Camping guests and facilities

The campground is visited by a mixed public. In the summer months, the number of families with children is larger, and we primarily have seniors staying in the low season. There is a lovely heated outdoor pool on the campground and a kiddie pool for the little ones. There is a spacious grassy field around the swimming pool for playing and sunbathing. There is playground equipment and a trampoline. Also fun: challenge each other to a round of mini-golf.

A wonderful campground shop

The campground has a great campground shop. There is also a good restaurant with a lovely menu offering plenty of choice. If necessary, you can do your shopping in Epe.

Mooi gelegen in/aan het bos. Direct wandelen vanaf de camping in natuurgebieden. Plaatsen zijn ruim, op mooie veldjes. Sanitair is netjes en schoon, al is 1 gebouw gedateerd. Veel vertier voor kinderen. Jammer dat juist in de meivakantie het zwembad een dag dicht was vanwege een defect. Winkeltje is prijzig, maar op een paar km afstand zijn er goede supermarkten.

Genoten van een naseizoensplek.
Het sanitair heeft een lagere beoordeling gehad, omdat we bij het (te) oude sanitair gebouw stonden. Even verderop de camping staat een state of the art sanitair gebouw, die de volledige score zou krijgen.
De omgeving is prachtig om te wandelen, te fietsen of om gewoon even niks te doen. Heerlijk!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Wij waren in dec. 2022 hier in een huisje. Mooi gelegen in de natuur. Gezellige kerst sfeer met vuurkorf en kerstverlichting. Huisje zag er leuk, verzorgd en schoon uit. De bed in de nok vonden de kinderen geweldig. Restaurant was ook gezellig aangekleed met een ruimte waar de kinderen mochten spelen. Eten en personeel was goed.

Wij verbleven op een zeer ruime plaats met privé sanitair. Een stek die zeer zeker voor herhaling in aanmerking komt. Het privé sanitair was prima en keurig schoon bij aankomst. De omgeving is natuurlijk ook fantastisch voor wandelen en fietsen. Restaurant uitstekend en behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel.

Hebben ivm corona en de periode waarin we op deze camping waren van een aantal faciliteiten geen gebruik kunnen maken. Prima omgeving en een heel mooi nieuw toilet gebouw. Jammer dat er in Nederland heel veel campings eind oktober sluiten. Wij zijn regelmatig in nov. nog weg en gaan ook in de winter op vakantie camperen.
