Picture this: you zip open your tent in the morning and the first thing you see are ducks and swans swimming past right in front of you. At Capfun Groene Eiland, just outside of Appeltern in the Land van Maas en Waal, this scene is a daily reality. Many of the pitches at this charming family campsite are right next to the water. The campsite is located on a peninsula in De Gouden Ham, a recreational lake with plenty of water sports options and free access to the Maas river.

Great waterfront camping

The majority of the pitches provide a great view of the water. Five modern sanitary buildings are distributed throughout the campsite – all with a baby care unit, toilets and spacious showers. Sanitary building 5 has a spacious bathroom for persons with reduced mobility.

Ideal home base for water sports enthusiasts

During the summer holiday, Capfun Groene Eiland has entertainment six days a week. In the morning there are fun activities for young children, and the afternoon is filled with sports and games for the entire family. Summer days come to a close with evening entertainment, like a movie, games or music.

Wakeboard, standup paddleboarding or water skiing

Its location by a lake means that the focus of this campsite is on water sports all year round. A refreshing swim can be done in the private swimming bay, where a safe area for swimming is marked off from the rest of the lake. There is also De Uitvliet, a water sports centre that is located on the campsite. Wakeboarding, water skiing, standup paddleboarding and banana rides are possible options offered right at the campsite. Of course, going sailing with your own boat is possible, too.

Wir hatten die komplette Nachsaison 51 Tage gebucht, der Stellplatz war wie gewohnt optimal am Wasser gelegen und wir hatten viel Spaß am und auf dem Wasser

Travelling party: Couple

Wir haben diesen Sommer 2 Monate verbracht. Fast alle Plätze liegen direkt am Wasser. Das Restaurant Beach Café 22 ist top, wenn auch nicht ganz günstig, für ein kleine Häppchen gibt es aber auch eine Snackbar. In den Ferien gibt es für Kinder eine Animation. Bei den Sanitäreinrichtungen gibt es große Unterschiede. Ein Haus ist super modern, dann gibt es mittlgute und eines ist auch recht betagt. Gerade um zu duschen ist es aber kein Problem einfach mit dem Fahrrad zum großen neuen Haus zu fahren. Das Personal ist super nett und insgesamt ist die Atmosphäre am Platz super offen und herzlich.
