Camping Harddraverspark is a very quiet 'town camping' site. This is due to the campsite being located in a recreational park, where the local tennis and soccer clubs are domiciled as well. You are here in the north of Friesland, the region with trees, farmsteads and unobstructed views of meadows and waterways. A breath of fresh air! You are camping in a park-like environment, within walking distance of the utterly charming centre (500 m) of Dokkum, the beautiful town with a rich history and well-known as a stop on the 'Elfstedentocht' (eleven cities skating tour).

Camping under the Frisian skies
The campsite is modestly laid out; functional, clean and tidy, without bells and whistles. The greenery -tall and less tall trees- looks well maintained and fresh. An attractive sight against the backdrop of the Dutch skies with its cloud formations. The pitches are not very spacious, but sufficient in size. They vary slightly in size (the comfort pitches are a bit larger with own water and electricity) and are mostly separated from each other by trimmed, high hedges - nice for some extra privacy.
Rental accommodation and motorhome pitches
You can rent well-furnished trekker huts at Camping Harddraverspark: you will therefore find a fair number of overnight guests (heading towards the Wadden islands). The campsite is geared towards motorhome campers, borne out by the well maintained pitches for motorhomes. Some pitches are located on a fine grass surface.
Lively Dokkum
The campsite does not have catering facilities or a shop. This makes sense: the lively town of Dokkum on your doorstep attracts a lot of campers! You will find a large number of shops, restaurants and markets there. You also have a wide choice of regional products.
