Campsite De Wite Burch is located in the Frisian town of Bakhuizen, close to the IJsselmeer. Here, you camp in a wooded area on quiet demarcated camping pitches. This is a great spot for anyone looking for quiet, but there is also plenty to do for children at this campsite. For instance, the extensive entertainment programme includes activities such as pony rides and theatre shows. In addition, there is the Avonturij, an indoor playground, the perfect spot to play when the weather is not so great.

Sheltered and spacious campsites
Most of the pitches at the campsite are permanent sites, but there are also sixty pitches for touring campers. These are located at the edges of some of the campsites, sheltered among the trees. The well-maintained, grassy fields offer both protected and spacious camping pitches for your caravan or your tent. There are also rental units spread out across the grounds. In addition to new chalets and mobile homes, you can spend the night in comfortable lodge tents with private sanitary facilities and cosy cabins.
Cycle to the IJsselmeer
The area is excellent for cycling tours. Cycle to Stavoren, for example, a fun little town with a large marina on the IJsselmeer. The coast can readily be explored by bicycle. You are just 3 km from the IJsselmeer, Stavoren is a half-hour bike ride away.
Pony rides and theatre shows
Children will not be bored at this campsite. That's because there is so much fun to be had. They can amuse themselves to their hearts' content on the playgrounds, and an entertainment team provides for fun activities every day during the school holidays. The little camping guests may ride a pony in the children's farm (where there are also goats) and theatre shows are organised regularly.
