In the middle of the Drenthe countryside, near the characteristic village of Zweeloo, you will find the peaceful campsite De Knieplanden. Children can swim in the large swimming pool or play on the large camping grounds. Go for a spacious camping pitch among the trees and experience the peace and quiet of a small campsite in Drenthe.

Quiet and comfortable camping

The campsite of De Knieplanden exudes tranquillity. You camp on a spacious pitch in the open air: the approximately seventy pitches are situated on various grassy areas, hidden between the tall trees. Because the pitches are not delimited or fenced, you feel free and have a wide view. The five hiker's huts you can stay in are basic, but provide that little bit of extra comfort. You have good beds and cooking facilities.

Spacious swimming pools

Next to the campsite is the municipal outdoor swimming pool. Campsite guests have access to the pool, which is also used by people visiting. The pools are extremely spacious. A large water slide leads to the competition pool. This large pool is joined by an equally large pool, which is slightly shallower. This part is particularly fun for children. Next to it is a shallow paddling pool, where the little ones can bathe safely.

Excellent facilities

The campsite facilities are excellent. The cosy canteen 'Any Tyme' has a modern look and nice outdoor seating. During the high season you can get take-away meals and snacks there. For the daily shopping you can go to Aalden, one kilometre away. The sanitary facilities are also very modern. The toilet buildings, centrally located on the site, have facilities for disabled persons and small children.

Met de caravan hier gestaan, mooie ruime plekken na het fietsen even lekker zwemmen in het naast gelegen zwembad.
Fijne omgeving om te fietsen en zeer vriendelijk personeel!

Geweldige camping, met een schat van een eigenaresse. Heel vriendelijk ontvangen en ook tijdens het verblijf leuk en gezellig contact.
Sanitair werd goed schoongemaakt, maar doordat niet alle bezoekers even netjes waren, werd het steeds snel weer vies. Eigenlijk zou er in alle periode extra schoongemaakt moeten worden.
Kampeerplekken zijn lekker ruim. Rondom het veld waar wij stonden waren lekker veel bomen en dus ook heerlijk veel schaduw in een zeer warme week. Grond bleef door de schaduw wel lang vochtig.
