The Exloo campsite is located in Geopark De Hondsrug (Drenthe) and is situated on a large grassy field, where you can find an excellent location to set up shop with your camping equipment. There is a separate car park for vehicles, which ensures that the campsite is very peaceful and makes it a touch safer as well. In the surrounding area, you will find many traces of prehistory, from dolmens to burial hills.

Welcome!

The reception area has extensive tourist information available about the area. Each morning, you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea in the cafeteria. When the weather is pleasant, you take it outside with you and sip away under an umbrella. The campsite consists of a well-maintained field with a paved central path, which leads to a meadow with sheep at the end of the campsite. The camping area is surrounded by trees and shrubs. The campsite is open all year round. However, in the winter months only for campers with their own facilities. The sanitary building is closed during these months.

Having fun together

There are evenings in which the owners and guests take part in a friendly petanque tournament.

There is no swimming pool on the campsite, but fortunately, Exloo boasts the gorgeous, outdoor swimming pool De Leewal. This pool is just four kilometres from the campsite. The campsite attracts a wide variety of people, primarily from the Netherlands and Germany.

For lovers of the great outdoors

Most visitors to the campsite are the types who enjoy getting out into nature. This is an area where they can really indulge themselves. De Hondsrug not only features prehistoric monuments, but it also boasts a diverse landscape with a wide variety of equally diverse flora and fauna.

3 nachten met onze camper verbleven op deze fijne rustige camping.vriendelijke eigenaar. Mooie omgeving, we hebben heerlijk gefietst.

Travelling party: Seniors

Zeer vriendelijke en sociale eigenaar. De plekken zijn ruim en voorzien van water en elektriciteit. De omgeving is prachtig, de camping is een goede uitvalsbasis voor fietstochten. Wandel het Drenthepad!! De eigenaar heeft ook enkele schapen die naast de camping grazen. Sanitair is schoon maar niet verwarmd.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Waren hier voor bezoek aan het Hippisch Centrum (vijf minuten fietsen). Sanitair prima in orde. Wel met wc-rol over de camping. Zondagochtend verrast door een koffiemoment met gebak. Leuk! Kinderen kunnen kijken naar schapen en lammetjes. Geen velgekleurde toestellen oid. Campervoorzieningen (vers water inname/grijs water lozen) wat verstopt tussen bomen. Eigenaar is aardige gastheer.

Heb net de recensie van ‘Henken’ gelezen. Wat een l*l!
Op de locatie worden gevluchte mensen uit ukraine opgevangen. Deze mensen zijn zeer lief en aardig, bezorgen überhaupt geen overlast!

Travelling party: Couple

In irder geval tot oktober 2024 worden er vluchtelingen in de bijbehorende boerderij en de groepaccomodatie De Parel opgevangen die vrij over de camping lopen en gebruik maken van het sanitair gebouw om oa te roken etc. Ook ‘s nachts hadden wij hen rond de camper, een vervelende en onveilige situatie. In het weekend behoorlijk geluidsoverlast tot in de nacht en enorme troep en lege drankflessen bij het vuilnispunt op de camping. Dit wordt helaas niet bekend gemaakt.. Bijzonder jammer van zo een leuke camping!

Waar vind je een camping waar de reeën op 20m afstand van je tent staan.
de camping heeft een grazige weide waar je makkelijk een tent of caravan neer kan zetten, overal kraantjes elektriciteit, een zeer schoon sanitair en een schiiterende omgeving. De ontvangst was allerhartelijkst

Zeer vriendelijk camping in een mooie omgeving, een Eldorado voor mooie fiets en wandel tochten. De vrijdag markt in Emmen is een aanrader en ook goed te doen op de fiets. De beheerder is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij komen zeker nog een keertje terug.

Genoten van een rustige,schone en mooie camping met schaapjes en lammetjes op het terrein. Water en electriciteitaansluiting bij de plek. Zeer schoon toiletgebouw.Zeer vriendelijke,behulpzame eigenaar,die ons zelfs kwam trakteren op een gebakje en op een heerlijk brood. Een camping om aan te bevelen!
