On the bank of the Sauer river and the border of Germany and Luxembourg lies campsite Du Barrage Rosport. The campsite is level, with well-maintained camping pitches on grassy fields directly by the water. You camp here amidst greenery with a splendid view of the river. Du Barrage Rosport is a family campsite which attracts mainly sports-minded campers.

Bring your boat and fishing rod

Campsite Du Barrage Rosport has a large number of annual pitches, but also numerous touring pitches. The camping pitches are located along straight, hardened pathways on well maintained level grassy fields. Here and there are a few deciduous trees which offer some shade, but most pitches are in the sun. The pitches by the water are ideal, certainly if you have brought your own boat or fishing rod.

On the banks of the stream

You reach the water via a few steps from the grassy beach along the shore. There is a jetty for small boats. The Sauer is ideal for kayaking and paddle surfing. The banks are perfectly suitable for fishing (fishing licence required). The river is not really suitable for swimming. Fortunately, the campsite has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by a sunbathing lawn with loungers and sun umbrellas.

Juices and fresh bread

There is no shop on the campsite. You can do your grocery shopping in Rosport or Echternach. In high season a baker visits the campsite each morning. There is no restaurant on the campsite, but in high season the cosy bar and terrace are open. You can buy healthy snacks here, as well as fresh fruit juices and regional beverages. Last but not least, in high season there are regular theme evenings with music and dinner.

zeer mooie rustige camping proper sanitair vriendelijk personeel
zwembad met toezicht mooi park naast camping waar je ook een hondeweide hebt op het eind van het park we komen zeker nog terug

Mooi gelegen camping, weinig plaatsen met schaduw .Bij het zwembad ook nauwelijks schaduw, een paar parasols zou geen overbodige luxe zijn. Receptie niet na 18 uur open en regelmatig personeel met weinig kennis! Geen tafeltennistafels te bekennen. Ook geen koelelementen service en ook geen ijs te krijgen op de camping. Sanitair was schoon , alleen werd op drukke tijden tussen 8 en 10 schoongemaakt terwijl dan de meeste mensen willen douchen/toiletteren. Restaurant prijzig t.o.v. restaurants in de omgeving.

Toffe camping. We gaan hier zeker nog eens terug. Restaurant was een aangename verassing met lekker eten. Sanitair was netjes. Mooi parkje aangrenzen aan de camping.

Hebben 3 weken op deze camping gestaan. Ideaal als je direct vanaf camping gratis met bus of trein kunt reizen o.a. naar stad Luxemburg. Hebben ook ongeveer 650 km gefietst ligt heel centraal

Nette camping goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Jammer dat er in de buurt niks te zien of te beleven valt. Boodschappen doen op 10 a 15 km. WiFi netwerk zeer zeer traag en uiterst on stabiel. Vaker niet dan wel.

op dag van aankomst is receptie smiddags gesloten. voor douchen heb je druppel nodig, die je dus de volgende ochtend kunt krijgen. hadden we de volgende dag rond de middag alleen nog steenkoud water.
wifi werkt nauwelijks als het druk is. verder wel leuk gelegen. achterin veel lawaai van de brug. Ligt aan de drie rivieren fietsroute.

Mooie omgeving, maar in het dorpje zelf is het uitgestorven! Er is geen klap te doen. Daarvoor moet je naar Echternach.
Wifi is écht slecht! Staat constant te laden.

We hadden een aantal dagen willen blijven, maar na 1 dag weer vertrokken. Lag niet alleen aan de camping, ook het warme weer en daardoor praktisch geen schaduw, had hier invloed op. Camping was nog behoorlijk bezet en weinig keus uit beschikbare plekken die over het algemeen allemaal aan de krappe kant zijn met geen of heel weinig afscheiding. De gratis wifi was prima.
