Surrounded by the green hills of Umbria lies Camping Village Punta Navaccia, located directly on the shore of Lago Trasimeno, or the Trasimenian lake. The area is ideal for making lots of day trips. Obviously, you can visit the villages around the lake, but you can also travel further inland into Tuscany. Visit for example Siena and Perugia. But Asissi (the famous pilgrimage site), Spoleto (home to the annual summer music and opera festival Festival dei Due Mondi) and Montefalco are also worth a visit while staying at this campsite.

Lodge tents with a view of the lake

Village Punta Navaccia is a fairly large campsite with level and shady camping pitches. Most of these are located near the lake. The sanitary facilities are of satisfactory quality. Apart from the camping pitches, there are several types of mobile homes: ‘standard’, ‘superior’ and ‘deluxe’. One of the mobile homes is equipped for disabled camping guests. In addition, there are safari lodge tents and Coco lodge tents with a view of the lake.

Dive into the swimming pool or the lake

There are two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is an shallower toddler pool. Pool parties are held regularly. The pools are in a nicely sheltered spot between the trees. Around them are loungers and sun umbrellas. The campsite borders the lake. There is a sandy beach, but there are also sun umbrellas and loungers which are freely available. There are also floating platforms in the lake. The lake is excellent for waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

Entertainment: performances in an amphitheatre

There are many sport facilities on the campsite. You can play tennis, basket ball, beach volleyball, table tennis, go swimming, do fitness training or play mini football. In peak season there is entertainment for both children and adults. The little ones can join the miniclub or the baby dancing. Later in the evening, the youngsters can join the disco. There is also a large, covered amphitheatre where the entertainment team organises evening performances such as musicals and other shows.

Liked - We were welcomed very kindly and throughout our stay have been very happy with the personnel’s friendliness and helpfulness. In addition, their location by the lake provides a great view and offers plentiful options to explore great scenery and surroundings. The camping is also very well located to go for a daytrip to one of the many great sights in the area.
Disliked - Our main sanitary facility was out dated and at several places there was no light or hot water coming out of the showers or water taps. Additionally, we would have liked to partake in some of the camping’s water activities they offer during the summer, and were slightly disappointed that they were not held anymore.

Liked - The Coco suite tent was ok
Disliked - The access to the lake is not kid friendly. The pool played loud, loud Music and had weird rules that did not apply to everyone. The cafe could not make a macchiato right and one time spilled drinks down my back. The showers are very hot and can not be adjusted, and just spray aggressively drops of water. On top the light is motion sensored, but when you are in the shower the light goes out. There is no soap in the toilets and many were missing the seat. Overall it felt a bit like a gypsy camp and that they didn’t care about the place. And not worth the money.

Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here out of season in May thank goodness! Lovely pitch right next to the lake however you have to drive through static small caravans that are like ramshackle some very over grown showers cold and toilets outdated although clean. Cats everywhere. Saturday night the disco / rave stared nearby until 4 30am would never stay here again such a shame as lovely spot by the lake. Should imagine in the height of season the camper area would be packed with people swimming in the lake and sunbathing. We did not use the pool , sports facilities or restaurant .
