Nestled in the green hilly inland of Tuscany, some 6 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea, you will find Camping Village Le Pianacce in a wooded area near the village of Castagneto Carducci. This large, luxurious campsite with its lodge-type rental accommodation embodies the definition of 'glamping in Tuscany'.

Camping with all the trimmings and more

The first impression is of a well-maintained terraced campsite with lots of foliage and flowers, a spot where you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Le Pianacce is an oasis of peace, where everything is perfectly organised. The pitches are spacious and offer ample privacy. They vary in size and the best pitches offer shade.

The campsite is mainly geared towards families with children. There is a swimming paradise with slides, from where you have a splendid view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. All in all, you will find everything you need for a pleasant stay: a restaurant with lovely atmosphere and a comprehensive menu (take-away possible), an amiable bar and a small supermarket.

Glamping in Tuscany

In addition to mobile homes and bungalows, Le Pianacce also has unique rental accommodation in the form of fully furnished lodge tents (two to nine persons) with wooden floor, kitchen and bathroom. The largest tent even has a private jacuzzi and a gas barbecue.

Free shuttle bus to the beach

In addition to the aforementioned swimming paradise, Le Pianacce also offers ample sports facilities. There is a tennis court, soccer and volleyball field and a mini-golf course. In peak season a team of professional entertainers keeps the children busy with games and discos. Trump card of the campsite: a free shuttle service to the beach.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Nice stay at the camping in summer of 2023. However, two episodes ruined our experience. 1) a child\'s defacation was found at the bottom of the pool. The life guard fished it up, dropped it again, then fishing it up again. Afterwards the life guard did not close the pool, but let everyone continue their swimming in the slightly contaminated water. 2) The camping does not have a freezer. In my opinion a normal thing to find on a camping so you can plan expeditions and trips. When asking the restaurant guy if we could lend his freezer he eventually yelled at me. Very unpleasant experience.
