Campsite Riviera is located in Calceranica al Lago, on the southern banks of beautiful Lake Caldonazzo (Trentino province). It is a relatively basic family campsite which offers plenty of opportunities for an active holiday. Lago di Caldenazzo, well-known for its crystal-clear and warm waters in the summer, is ideal for swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.

Campsite and hotel

Campsite Riviera is located behind hotel Bellavista, which is where families visiting the campsite guests often stay. The campsite makes a peaceful impression and the pitches are spacious by Italian standards. The facilities on the campsite are modest. Food and drinks are available at the hotel: a bar/ice cream parlour with a patio, where you can also enjoy breakfast or an aperitif.

Free guest card

One special feature is the free guest card for campers, which allows you to use all the public transportation facilities in Trentino province for free and gives you free access to many sights (such as museums and castles, as well as wine tastings, for example).

Enjoy Lake Caldonazzo

There is no swimming pool, but this is more than compensated for by Lago di Caldenazzo. You only have to cross the main road to reach the sunbathing lawn by the lake. Here you can swim in water with a comfortable temperature of 22°C. Besides swimming, you can go windsurfing and paddle board surfing, water skiing, canoeing and fishing. Just four kilometres away from the campsite lies an adventure park (Acropark) with a challenging ropes course. Fun for the whole family!

The sanitary facilities are centrally located on the grounds and are well-maintained. Riviera even has an area where you can wash your dog.

Travelling party: Seniors

Omdat we vorig jaar ook een kleine week aan het het meer van Caldonazzo hadden gestaan met de caravan zijn we er dit jaar opnieuw een aantal dagen geweest. Het is veel rustiger dan het Garda meer en minder last van hagelstenen. Camping heeft geen eigen zwemfaciliteiten maar de ingang ligt tegenover het meer met een strand. Toiletgebouw e.d. worden goed schoon gehouden wat voor ons wel vervelend was dat je voor het toiletbezoek een aantal toiletpapiertjes uit een automaat moet trekken die vaak vast gelopen was. Plekken zijn ruim. 100m2 . De extra comfort plekken die op de site vermeld staan zijn vermoedelijke vanwege corona niet gerealiseerd. Jammer dat de site niet is aangepast.
