Enjoy all the natural beauty of the Italian province of South Tyrol at Camping Vogelsang. This simple campsite offers beautiful views of the mountains. Put on your hiking boots and go for a brisk walk or take the bike and tour around the area. You can go to the campsite's bar for a refreshing drink. And if you fancy a swim, there's a swimming pool close by that you can use for free.

Small-scale campsite with vast views

There are 60 pitches of various sizes at the terraced campsite. Every pitch offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains and the apple orchards. The campsite was established in 2017 and the toilet and washing facilities are modern and clean.

People looking for peace and quiet and nature lovers

Camping Vogelsang is perfect for people who like the countryside and quiet. There are not many facilities at the campsite. However, as a campsite guest you can use the nearby swimming pool for free. It is open from June to August. Even more fun: during your stay, you get a card enabling you to use the public transport in the region for free.

Discover South Tyrol

Get the train and explore the area. The charming Merano is certainly with visiting. It has lovely outdoor cafés and authentic buildings. The impressive Trauttmansdorff Castle with surrounding gardens is just outside the centre. You can also go on a Sissi walk of about three kilometres, which takes you past places associated with the Austrian empress.

Travelling party: Couple

We hadden hoge verwachtingen van de camping o.b.v. de Acsi app en de eigen website van de camping.
De camping is inderdaad redelijk recent (2017) geopend. Maar een camping vraagt intensief onderhoud. De plaatsen zijn niet verzorgd (hoog onkruid) en meerdere lampen die uit de grond gereden zijn en in het sanitairgebouw zijn de ontluchtingsroosters nooit schoongemaakt.
De ontvangst was zakelijk en afgemeten.
Het prijsbeleid van de camping is onduidelijk. Toen we belden voor een plek had hij alleen premiumplaatsen maar er bleven in de avond
nog meerdere plaatsen vrij. Je krijgt geen plattegrond en op de website staat er ook geen. Dus zeer diffuus wat de “dure” plaatsen zijn en wat niet.
Voor ons geen camping om te onthouden of aan te bevelen.
Silandro is een leuk dorp, prachtige fietsmogelijkheden langs de Adige.
