Steiner Südtirol Campsite Park in a family-friendly campsite near Bozen in South Tirol, the northernmost province in Italy. Here, you can enjoy the mountainous countryside, the nearby lakes and the Italian-Tirolean cuisine (South Tirol is where the most delicious wine comes from). You can fully relax, but tough mountain hikes, or skiing adventures (in the winter) are also possible.

Steiner Südtirol Campsite Park is situated in a wide valley amongst the Tirolean Alps, surrounded by lush green Alpine meadows, slopes of vineyards, charming villages and mountain lakes. The campsite is to the north of the town of Leifers.

A typically Tirolean camping experience

You can spend the night on a spacious pitch with coarse gravel which allows for any rainwater to drain quickly, so you don't end up on with a swamp underfoot. A few of the pitches are 12 metres long, so you are also welcome here with a large mobile home. The landscaped grounds ensure plenty of shade and privacy. Do you want a genuine Tirolean camping experience? Stay in one of the wooden holiday homes.

For the outdoorsy types

Nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet will be very happy at Steiner Südtirol Campsite Park. The campsite is a perfect starting point for mountain walks, bike rides or (wintery) skiing adventures. You won't find too many young people here; but the campsite is very family friendly, so feel free to bring your (little) children. The children can have fun in the outdoor pool or the heated indoor pool. If you really want to go swimming, you can go to one of the nearby mountain lakes: Lake Caldaro (right on the Tirolean wine route) or the Montiggler Seen. Here you can swim between the mountains! Kite and windsurfing, paddle boarding and sailing are also possible here.

Travelling party: Couple

We arrived here on route to Rimini for three nights with no reservation but got a pitch. The site is excellent, the pitches are all flat and very spacious, the shower blocks are very clean and the shower rooms are very spacious as well there’s always plenty of hot water, the food in the restaurant is great and good value for money, town centre is only a couple of minutes walk from the campsite with super market in town, there is also a cycle path in to Bolzano town centre 4km away, this aid a site I will use again on route through Italy, it is a little gem 10 out of 10
