On the western shore of Lake Garda, near the coastal town of Toscolano-Maderno, is Toscolano campsite. At this large, somewhat outdated campsite, you'll camp within the old monastery walls on a property lined with cypress trees. Overlooking the mountains and in direct connection with Lake Garda, this campsite is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Take a dip in one of the pools or visit the paper mills in the Valle delle Cartiere.

Camping in the shade
Upon arrival, you are greeted by a large old monastery gate: the entrance to the campsite. On the other side of the gate lies a world of peace. On a flowery square you will find the reception, behind it are the camping pitches. In total, there are three hundred touring pitches and almost two hundred rental accommodations. You also share the campsite with one hundred permanent residents. The touring pitches are not particularly large, but are nicely situated in the shade of cypress and olive trees.
Swimming pool with lemons
The campsite has allocated a lot of space for its swimming pools. Of the three pools, the elongated pool is especially nice. This is located like a boomerang in the middle of the camping area, surrounded by deck chairs. You will recognise the pool not only by its shape, but also by the mosaic lemons with which its bottom is decorated.
Facilities
Camping Toscolano is a particularly great destination for touring campers with a caravan or camper. This is because the campsite's rental accommodations are somewhat outdated. The sanitary facilities on the campsite could also use a refurbishment. Fortunately, the campsite has good amenities, with its beach restaurant and large supermarket just outside the site.
