Camping Arizona is at the foot of the Northern Apennines, a ten-minute drive from the thermal baths of Salsomaggiore Terme (Emilia-Romagna). This large terraced campsite is surrounded by a hilly landscape that varies between woods and meadows. The campsite is only 15 minutes away from the A1, making it a good stopover campsite. However, staying for a longer period at Camping Arizona is also rewarding – not only due to the beauty of the surrounding area but also because of the beautiful swimming pool complex, the sports facilities and play areas and the restaurant at the campsite.

Shaded pitches

Most of the pitches at Camping Arizona are well shaded and grassy. You can also book a stay in a modern mobile home or a luxury villa. Your faithful four-footed friend is also welcome at the campsite.

Ideal holiday address for sports enthusiasts and water lovers

Camping Arizona has athletic fields and an impressive outdoor playground. You can indulge yourself in the beautiful swimming complex with its large basic swimming pool and a smaller pool that catches people coming down the two water slides. There is also a good-sized swimming pool for (young) children, also with water slides. After all of that fun swimming, collapse on the charming terrace of Ristorante Pizzeria Al Pirata for a delicious bite to eat and a drink.

What is there to do in the vicinity?

The vicinity has many historic towns and nostalgic castles. Busseto (28 km), which is where the legendary composer Verdi caused such a furore, is highly recommended. Parma (34.5 km) is also worth visiting. The hiking and cycling in the mountainous landscape of the Northern Apennines is also amazing.

Liked - Lovely campsite and well equipped. Restaurant a little expensive but the food wa very good. The bread from the store is great. Staff are very friendly and professional. Thanks

Booked 2 nights had enough after 1 night
Disliked - Very expensive €44 per night,
No phone signal,
Only 3 amp electric took 10 hours to charge iPhone ☹️(for the price I would expect at least 6amp)
Couldn’t use our a/c unit which we had used on every other cheaper sites,
No loo paper in toilets

Very disappointing, pitches a glorified car park, all units side by side.
3amp electricity, so no electric kettles, can create more power by rubbing my hands together. Grass around static units had not been trimmed for months and pitches full of dead leaves led to an overall unkempt and scruffy appearance. Yes, the pool areas are quite impressive, apart from all the weeds growing up through the block paving. The sanitary facilities are quite good with W.C., basin and shower all contained in one large cubicle, BUT, there were just five each in both male and female blocks and it meant that if just wanting to use the W.C. the shower and washbasin were also occupied. We attended in mid season, the most expensive night during our 4 week trip around Italy AND toilet paper is not provided. If your really into aqua parks then this place might suit you, otherwise I give it a miss
