In the heel of the boot of Italy, near the beautiful coastal town of Torre dell'Orso, lies Parco Camper La Torre. This quiet and small-scale campsite has beautiful marked out pitches on a park-like terrain. There is only a limited number of touring pitches, but they are wonderfully shaded and bordered by greenery.

Shady campsite
Although Parco Camper La Torre covers seven hectares, there are only 36 touring pitches. They are nicely delimited by hedges, and they vary in size. The campsite is beautifully green, with many trees that provide refreshing shade. The pitches are paved, so you don't camp on grass here. This makes the campsite less suitable for tents. At Parco Camper La Torre there are also beautiful studios and flats for rent. In total there are 25 rental accommodations.
Azuur-blue water
Parco Camper La Torre does not have a swimming pool. However, about one and a half kilometres away are the rugged rocky coast and the beautiful sandy beaches of the Adriatic. The sea here is beautifully clear and azure blue. Spiaggia di Torre dell'Orso is a wide, white sandy beach that is largely open to the public. You will also find nice beach pavilions where you can rent sun beds and parasols. In the high season, it can be crowded. It is about a twenty minute walk to the beach. If you find that too far, you can rent a bike at the campsite, or use the owner's shuttle service. Giuseppe will bring you to the beach and pick you up again.
Shaded terrace
There is no shop, restaurant or bar on the campsite, but with the centre of Torre dell'Orso at walking distance, this is not a problem. Parco Camper La Torre does have a nice shaded terrace with vending machines for coffee and soft drinks. In high season, fresh bread is available at the campsite. The nearest shop is 400 metres from the campsite, and in the centre of Torre dell'Orso you will find several supermarkets where you can do all your shopping. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars, the best with a view of the bay.
