Manoeuvring for a view
The campsite is beautifully laid out and well maintained, with level camping pitches on terraces. When you arrive with your caravan, it takes a bit of manoeuvring to get to your pitch. The infrastructure is a bit tight. However, this is amply compensated by the panoramic view.
Pods and bubbles
When you do not have your own camping equipment, or when you are in transit, you can rent a nice 'pod' on this campsite. A threesome of basic, but comfortable trekker huts together form a cosy 'pod village'. They are especially popular with hikers and cyclists.
And after a long travel day, or after hiking or cycling in the mountains, you can take a hot shower. Or you can relax in the bubble bath. Campsite Tunnel not only has a whirlpool, but also a small swimming pool: a rare luxury at this altitude.
Restaurant with mountain view
Campsite Tunnel is especially popular with hikers. Not surprisingly, because you can make beautiful trips in the area. And when you have worked up an appetite after a demanding walk, you can head for the fine campsite restaurant. They offer a choice of various regional dishes. From the balcony of the restaurant you have a view of the surrounding mountains.
