On the northern shore of the Peloponnesos, the largest peninsula in Greece, lies Camping Golden Sunset. This spacious shaded campsite is located in Alissós , about a half hour's drive from Patras. The campsite has a large water park, which is also accessible to day trippers. From the sun deck, you have a view of the bay and the narrow beach. The campsite itself is somewhat dated and its prime feature is the water park. This campsite is closed outside of the peak season; you can only stay here in July and August.

Shaded pitches
The campsite has many trees and bushes; the pitches, therefore, have plenty of shade. The pitches are situated along straight, paved lanes. During the worst of the crisis in Greece, this campsite was closed for a while, and you still see some of those effects today. This explains why the campsite hasn't yet had many camping visitors.
Water park
Camping Golden Sunset's biggest asset is the large swimming paradise with water slides. There are all several outdoor pools with a total surface area of 940 m2. There is also a large whirlpool and no less than six water slides of varying heights. Don't expect top quality, however; the complex is somewhat out of date.
