What accommodation options are there?
The grounds of this campsite are large yet surveyable, and neatly kept. Fixed annual pitches dominate here, but there is plenty of room for touring campsite visitors too. The average pitch at Camping An de Waterkant is spacious with an open character. You can also book a stay in a charming camping pod, which can hold a maximum of two adults.
Mudflats and water sports
There is a shop by the reception where you can order rolls for your breakfast. It also has a terrace, where you can relax and enjoy a drink. Another big plus of this campsite is that it is close to the beach. Just cross the road and the dike and you are there. This beach borders on an enormous tidal area of the Wadden Sea. At high tide various water sports are possible, and at low tide you can go for an amazing (guided) walk over drying mudflats and sandbanks.
Cycling and hiking
The campsite is an excellent home base for beautiful hikes and bicycle rides in the vicinity. For example, cycle over the dike along the Wadden Sea. If you travel a few kilometres south along the dike, you will enter the lovely village of Büsum. Admire the picturesque harbour, the beautiful lighthouse and the seal sanctuary.
