In the middle of an island in the Moselle river is the Mosel-Islands Camping campsite. You will find this campsite in the west of Germany between historic towns, wine hills and many cycle paths. You can camp right on the water here. There you will find not only well-kept pitches, but also cosy wine barrels in which you can stay. Enjoy the passing boats or go up the Moselle yourself.

Camping by the water

A pitch right on the water. Views of the wine hills. The green grass under your feet. Camping at this German campsite is exactly how camping is meant to be. On the island, you will feel completely free, away from all the hustle and bustle. The pitches are not defined, but are nicely organised on the site. Do you want to give your camping holiday an extra special touch? Then camp in one of the romantic wooden wine barrels.

A special splash

Where there is water, there is swimming. That's also the case at the Mosel-Islands Camping campsite. Dive right into the Moselle from your caravan or wine barrel for a cool splash-around! Would you rather not get wet, but still want to enjoy the water? Then try your luck in the little marina. Perhaps you'll get to ride along on one of the pleasure boats. And then there's the good restaurant by the harbour. From the terrace, you can still admire the boats and the river.

High sanitation standards

There are plenty of toilets and showers in the central sanitary building. They also look clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are on a higher floor. Are you less mobile? No problem. The sanitary facilities for disabled campers are located on the first floor.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Wir hatten vom 16.05. bis 21.05.24 diesen Campingplatz gebucht. Mein Mann hatte extra vor Anreise bei Mosel Island an gerufen, weil in den Medien schon von Hochwasser die Sprache war. "Kommen Sie, bei uns wird es nicht so schlimm", hieß es. Wir haben uns durch den Verkehr gequält. Die Autobahnen waren aufgrund des Pfingstwochenendes so mega voll. Endlich angekommen, wurden wir des Platzes verwiesen, wegen des Hochwassers. Nach Anfrage beim CP wegen unseres bezahlten Urlaubes, bekamen wir lediglich eine Standardmail, dass wir bis Ende dieser Saison noch kommen können. Jeder normale Camper hat schon Anfang des Jahres seinen kompletten Urlaub verbucht, so auch wir. Auf meine Frage hin, ob wir nächstes Jahr kommen könnten, kommt keine Antwort. Ich hab echt Verständnis, auf einen Teil meines Geldes aufgrund des Hochwassers zu verzichten, aber dennoch sollte man zumindest das Geld für die gebuchten Leute zurück bekommen oder einen Zeitraum als Ersatz an bieten, der realistisch ist.

sehr schön gelegener Platz mit sauberen, gepflegten Sanitärbereich.
Leider sind wir etwas verspätet anreisen können aber das war kein Problem
für das Personal mit telf. Vorankündigung.
Der Platz lädt zu Wander- und Fahhradtouren links und rechts der Mosel ein!

Camping zum Abgewöhnen!

Zuerst das positive: die Parzellen sind groß und zum Teil direkt an der Mosel gelegen. Die Lage auf der Insel ist wunderschön, bringt aber auch eine gewisse Lautstärke mit (Frösche, Bahn, Flugverkehr). Hund war kein Problem.

Aber: wir hatten vier Tage lang eine ganze Horde Partyvolk neben uns. Laute Musik von 11 Uhr mittags bis weit nach Mitternacht, besoffenes Gegröle ohne Rücksicht auf die Mitcamper. Wir haben das ganze Wochenende keinen Schlaf gefunden. Es gab keinen Platzwart, der für Ruhe gesorgt hat und keine Nummer, die man in solchen Fällen anrufen konnte. Die Beschwerde bei der Rezeption brachte nichts - es wurde zwar gesagt man würde die Personen ansprechen, gefühlt war es danach aber noch lauter.
Der Höhepunkt des Ganzen: vollgesch* Toiletten bis auf die Klobrille - es waren nur noch zwei Herrentoiletten in dem Sanitärgebäude benutzbar. Teilweise schafften die Herren es nicht einmal bis zur Toilette - dann würde auf dem Platz wild gepinkelt. Oder war es ihnen selbst zu ekelig geworden?

Die Sanitäranlagen sind auch nicht zeitgemäß - das Gebäude hat einen gewissen Gefängnischarakter und der Rest ist in Containern untergebracht. Nachts waren die Waschräume Treffpunkt der betrunkenen Jugendlichen.

Was auch störte: die Leute lassen ihre Hunde ohne Leine über den Spielplatz laufen.

WLAN nicht kostenfrei - nur 15 Minuten pro Gerät.
Anreise erst ab 15 Uhr, Abreise bis 11 Uhr.

Treis-Karden ist ein nettes Örtchen - aber NIE WIEDER Mosel Island! Für Ballermann-Feeling kommen wir nicht an die Mosel.

Der Platz ist zu empfehlen. Ausgangspunkt für eine Wanderung zur Burg Elz oder mit dem Fahrrad nach Cochem

Ein superschöner Platz auf einer Insel mitten in der Mosel. Grosszügige Plätze unter Bäumen. Nachts muss mit Bahnlärm von gegenüber gerechnet werden... Empfehlenswertes Restaurant gleich nebenan im Bootshafen.

Wir waren aus Anlass eines Geburtstages auf dem Campingplatz. Sehr schöne Lage direkt in der Mosel. Kleiner Sandstrand aber viele Zugänge in die Mosel. Sehr sauberer Platz. Duschen sauber und gepflegt, aber nicht die modernsten. Schönes Restaurant im Yachthafen. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direktem Umfeld. Dazu die traumhafte Umgebung der Mosel. Wir fahren auf jeden Fall wieder hin.
