This is a slightly dated, but very amiable family campsite near the town of Pommern in Rheinland-Palatine. This region is renowned for the beautiful landscape of the Moselle, the activity on the water, historic towns, the hillside vineyards and the hustle and bustle of wine festivals and wine tastings. The town of Pommern lies within walking distance. There are several nice, historic cities and attractive towns in the area. You can visit castles and fortresses, walk in the Hunsrück or follow the lovely cycling route along the Moselle.

Spacious pitches

In the reception you are welcomed by the owner. The terrain is elongated and lies on the Moselle. The camping pitches are not demarcated and are located on camping fields along dirt roads. Tall trees delineate the fields and provide shade. On Campingplatz Moselwunder you can choose your own pitch. The facilities are not exactly new, but the location of the campsite makes up for this. Some of the camping pitches overlook the river.

Beautiful swimming pools with terrace

There are two beautiful swimming pools on the campsite. There is a terrace near one of the swimming pools (with sun umbrellas). You can enjoy a bite to eat or a drink while overlooking the pool and the river a bit further on.

Dutch snacks and a cosy bar

There is a basic restaurant on the top floor of the reception building with canteen-like furnishings. It has a limited menu with a choice of well-known Dutch snacks. Take-away meals are also available. In addition, there is a cosy little bar and a small supermarket for essentials.

Travelling party: Seniors

Een prima camping. Vrijwel alle sanitair op de camping is 2 jaar geleden gerenoveerd en zeer modern. Alleen moeten de WC's van de heren nog gerenoveerd worden. Douchen zo lang je wilt en zonder munten en zonder geld. Stroom betaal je conform verbruik. Het water van het zwembad was schoon maar te koud. In Pommern zijn er diverse wijnboeren te vinden. In de omgeving van Pommern is o.a. Cochem (op ca. 10km) een aanrader met de fiets en Koblenz met de trein een aanrader. Jammer dat er geen plek meer was aan de Mosel. Prima verblijf gehad met al met al een prima prijs - prestatieverhouding en op een leuke afstand van Nederland.

Lang gerekte camping direct aan de moezel langs een doorgaande weg en direct gelegen aan een klein station. (Groot) Bootverkeer komt langs maar daar heb je weinig last van. De weg is wat drukker maar ook daar weinig hinder van, zeker ‘S avonds en ‘‘s nachts geen probleem. Trein hoor je wel maar is zeker niet hinderlijk. Juist erg handig dat het station op 200 meter van de camping is, ritje naar Cochem vertrek ieder uur en ritje duurt 7 min. Nette camping, kleine plekken, weinig stroom kasten dus zorg voor verlengsnoer (ook te leen op de camping)verse broodjes service aanwezig. Sanitair is keurig netjes, enige minpunt daaraan is dat deze op de 1e etage is, dus trap lopen. Ook maar 1 gebouw dus flinke wandeling voor de sanitaire stop. Invalide toilet is aanwezig. Prima camping voor uitstapjes in de buurt! Half september was de camping nog zo goed als vol, dus misschien reserveren wel handig.

Leuke camping maar met gedateerd sanitair wat echt een opknapbeurt kan gebruiken, wordt wel iedere dag schoon gemaakt. Vriendelijk personeel wat erg behulpzaam is. Zwembad heerlijk om met warm weer in te plonsen. Wel 1 dingetje camping eigenaar komt afspraak niet na wat wel heel erg jammer is.

Nieuwe eigenaar hij doet goed zijn best het ziet er al goed uit en is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Wij hebben het heerlijk gehad op deze camping De ontvangst van zeer goed. De vriendelijke eigenaar brengt je naar de plek die je zelf mocht uitkiezen. De eigenaar is druk bezig de camping te renoveren. De afwas plekken waren al top. Na sluiting gaat hij beginnen aan een nieuw toilet gebouw. Dus het word een super camping volgend jaar. Dus ik zou zeggen boeken Iedere morgen lekkere verse broodjes. De omgeving is prachtig.

Voldoende plaats op de camping. \"Open tijdens de verbouwing\" had niet misstaan. De camping is overgenomen, maar is nog volop in de verbouwing. Dus zwembad is leeg, restaurant gesloten, werklui vinden dat de camping een bouwplaats is en beginnen vroeg met herrie en blokkeren de toegangsweg tot de camping \"als ze daar moeten zijn\". Voor de rest is de camping nog net zo oud en vervallen als in de andere beoordelingen.
Ook zijn er redelijk aso jaarplaatshouders die de gehele camping denken te moeten voorzien van hun muziekkeuze.
Kortom op dit moment geen aanrader, hopelijk weet de nieuwe eigenaar dit spoedig op orde te hebben.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Deze camping ondergaat een totaal metamorfose. Een nieuwe eigenaar met zijn familie en vriend Martiem zorgen hiervoor. Er is al veel gedaan restaurant en Biergarten is al aangepakt dit zorgt voor veel nieuwe en positiefs op de camping. Personeel en iedereen is mega goed gezind om er weer een wereld camping van te maken. Wij komen hier zeker weer
