A swimming pool complex, a brasserie with a wine shop, a climbing park and playgrounds and sports facilities. At Camping Sonnenberg, it is easy for the entire family to amuse themselves all day. This is possible outside of the high season as well, since many amenities are located under a roof. This five-star campsite is situated on a mountain just outside of Leiwen (Rijnland-Palts), a friendly village on the Moselle river. It is surrounded by wooded areas that lie above the vineyards along the river slopes.

Spacious pitches and modern mobile homes

This campsite welcomes campsite visitors with their own caravan, motorhome and/or tent. The site has around 130 touring pitches. There are basic and comfort pitches, the main difference being the size of the pitch. You can also book a stay in a modern mobile home at Camping Sonnenberg. Some of the accommodations have special access for people with reduced mobility.

The recreational options: worthy of a five-star campsite

Camping Sonnenberg’s fun and entertainment programme offers entertainment for all ages and is organised throughout the entire year. There is also an indoor playground complex, a bowling alley, a deer enclosure (purchase special food for the deer at the ParkShop!) and a climbing park with at least six courses and forty climbing elements.

Swimming fun at the campsite

You can swim at Camping Sonnenberg in a covered swimming pool with slides, rapids, a wading pool and a Jacuzzi. For snacks, go to the snack bar, or visit the brasserie for an evening of fine dining. Are you a true lover of wine? Do visit the wine shop and take home a lovely bottle of wine from a regional wine bar.

Wir waren ein verlängertes Wochenende mit 2 kleine Kinder da an dem es viel geregbet hat. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen! Der kinderfreundlichste campingplatz den wir nördlich des Mittelmeers bisher gesehen haben.

Für Kinder einfach großartig! Super Kinderprogramm, Schwimmbad und Indoorspielplatz. So können sich die Eltern auch einfach mal entspannen, da die Kinder den ganzen Tag beschäftig sind. Und das Ganze zu einem super Preis! Einzig das Sanitär war nicht immer das sauberste, kann bei Stoßzeiten in der Hauptsaison allerding überall vorkommen.

Travelling party: Seniors

Im September die richtige Zeit ausgesucht, denn das Wetter war das beste. Leider war die Mosel sehr Überlaufen. Es gab keine Weinfeste und die Straußwirtschaften waren sehr voll und man mußte Reservieren. Sonst auch im 12. Jahr auf dem Campingplatz kann ich nur Gutes berichten. Es war eine tolle zeit.
