We stayed here to explore the Rhineland. Initially the site was excellent. The lady at reception was helpful (I imagine you’d have more difficulty if you’re an English language only muggle). We had a choice of where to pitch up in the tents’ area. We chose a nice spot on the river bank, electricity hookup all good. Some people pitched as neighbours the next day and the site was lovey. The valley is beautiful. Great nearby restaurants. Close to Koblenz. The pool is good albeit cold and small. The toilets are a very, very long walk from the tent area, but they are excellent. The dongle for the barrier is also used to activate the shower- we didn’t know at first and only had one so needed to stagger showers. The wash facilities (toilets, showers, sinks, wash up and clothes washing areas) are some of the best of any campsite I’ve ever been to. (It is a shame about the long trip there!). Sadly our stay was a bit ruined after our first night. An older couple started to set up camp between us and our neighbours. The space just was not big enough. This really was unsafe for obvious reasons in 2020, it was also ignorant and rude. I think the site staff need to impose a 3 metre rule, where you can’t pitch within 3 metres of another tent and that there must be space for guest to park next to their tent. This couple also ruined things for our neighbours. They also drove between their tent and the sanitary block... at any time of night! The price was very reasonable and I’d bring a wind break to create some privacy and a 3 metre gap if I was to stay again. It would be excellent if they could add a toilet block like the current one nearer to the far camping area!
