Great place despite being very busy, ascension and Father’s Day in Germany! Camper vans and caravans were packed on fairly close but this seems to be the norm in this area and campers were respectful and not intrusive. Staff were great and found space for us to stay 2 extra nights despite being full and our uk door side opening messing up their pitch lay out. Great nature reserve adjoins site with golden oriels, various warblers and stork nests with chicks all seen (late May). Views into Rhine great if you got a front row pitch, still OK if not, bar/ snack always busy with campers and locals and their cakes and cheese cake excellent . Toilet/shower very clean and new. Barges and trains can be heard and may impact if you are a light/fussy sleeper but for most no problem at all.Not good if you want privacy and enclosed pitches , but if you accept you will be packed at peak periods then absolutely great location . Very good cycle path to Bingen and beyond, but less good surface for thin wheeled bikes towards Ingleheim. Good and local wines available with tastings in adjoining village. Follow the campsite directions for the site to avoid a 2.1 m height restriction under the railway which then only adds a few hundred metres to the route , the pictures on the campsite website will also help you find the correct turning.
