View of the Rhine

On the left-hand side near the entrance of the campsite, there is an area for motorhomes. To the right is the entrance of the campsite. The reception is located upstairs in the modest building where you will also find the restaurant. The camping pitches are on an elongated flat field, running parallel with the Rhine and the B9. The pitches are demarcated. A pitch with a direct view of the Rhine costs an additional 2 euro.

Unique swimming opportunity

An unique feature of this campsite is the sandy beach along the Rhine with a magnificent view over the valley and adjacent hilly landscape. There is some basic wooden playground equipment on the bank of the river. There is a sandbank in the Rhine and the river flows past the other side of the island. On this side - the side of the campsite - the water is calm. It is ideal for swimming. On sunny days the beach attracts many visitors.

Shopping in Bacharach

On the campsite, there is a small shop which stocks the essential foodstuffs only, including bread. The building where the reception is located also houses a good restaurant. Downstairs in the building are the sanitary facilities.
