Camping Erholungsanlage Hertha-See is in Germany’s state North Rhine-Westphalia. You stay in green surroundings about 4 kilometres from the village of Hörstel. A small lake, the Herthasee, lies in the centre of the campsite. On sunny days, this is a wonderful place for swimming and for relaxing in the sun. There are also many sports and games facilities, and the entertainment team organises all kinds of activities.

Camping by the lake

Camping Erholungsanlage Hertha-See consists of several camping fields. Campsite visitors are free to camp around the lake where the pitches are not demarcated. The many trees here provide campsite visitors who are right next to the water with lots of shade. The pitches on the other fields of the campsite are demarcated. The restaurant with terrace is located beside the lake, giving you a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding pitches.

Sports, games and swimming fun

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the tennis court, the basketball court, the table-tennis table or the playing field. There is a mini golf course, playground and an indoor playground. During the summer holiday, the entertainment team organises all kinds of activities for children six days a week. The water in the recreational lake is about 1.3 metres deep, making it ideal for true water lovers of all ages. Go for a refreshing swim, go out in a rubber boat or rent a stand-up paddleboard at the reception.

Explore Osnabrück and Tecklenburg

The city of Osnabrück (38.5 km) is great for a day out. Visit the charming historic centre, enjoy a cake at a local bakery and examine the extensive range of shops. The attractive village of Tecklenburg (24 km) with half-timbered buildings is definitely worth a visit.
