In the hilly and green Weserbergland, not far from the Teutoburger Forest with its agricultural and nature reserves, you will find Campingpark Extertal. The campsite is located between forests and fields in this quiet, rural area. There is a former farmhouse on the grounds. The camping pitches measuring on average some 100 m2 are located on both sides of a paved road which meanders over the campsite. You can choose a pitch with morning sun or evening sun, whichever you prefer.

Picturesque
At the campsite you are welcomed in the spacious reception, which is housed in an attractive half-timbered farmhouse. The original outbuildings of the former farmhouse also contribute towards the picturesque atmosphere. Inside the farmhouse you will also find the Gaststätte. Snacks and drinks are served here. After a hectic day in the leafy surroundings you will be ready to enjoy a refreshing draught beer, preferably outside on the lovely terrace.
Children's paradise
The campsite is in a lovely child-friendly design with a spacious playground and a safe swimming pond (with slides and playground equipment). A nice but not too extensive entertainment programme is also available. There are several ponies and other animals on the grounds.
Into nature
Around Campingpark Extertal several well maintained and signposted walks take you into the glorious nature of the Extertal. One of the highlights of the region is the Externsteine near Bad Meinberg in the Teutoburg Forest. This sandstone rock formation in the green landscape was formed in the Cretaceous and is therefore some 120 million years old. On the rocks you will find several traces of human actitivity from prehistory and the Middle Ages.
