In the Mecklenburg Lake District in northern Germany lies the Camping Am Weissen See campsite. You can camp here in peace. As the name suggests, this campsite is located on a lake. The grounds are full of pine trees. Right next to the campsite, you will find the Müritz National Park. Two kilometres away is the town of Wesenberg. Here, you will find supermarkets and restaurants.

Which camping spot will you choose?
At the reception of this wooded campsite, you will be welcomed by the manager. During the lunch break (1:00 – 3:00 p.m.), there is a no-entry zone. In the reception building, you will also find a small shop. The camping spots have different sizes. There are also a few caravans and accommodations for rent.
Laze and swim
Ultimate relaxation can be found at the campsite's lake. Walks down the steps to get to the lake. On the sandy beach, you can laze around while the kids are playing. For some coolness, you can take a dip. If you want, you can also bring a boat. However, motorboats are not allowed. The restaurant is close to the beach and overlooks the lake.
Walking to Wesenberg
Time for some exercise. The town of Wesenberg is within walking distance (one and a half kilometres). And if you have your bicycle with you on holiday, it's the ideal way to explore the Müritz National Park. For example, cycle to the Käflingsberg observation tower. Or take a guided hike through the National Park. In the park, you can also do geocaching.
