Camping Peenecamp is on the banks of the Peene and close to Lake Kummerow. Here, you can only stay on a spacious pitch with your own camping equipment, but also in a holiday home by the water. The campsite is close to the idyllic German village of Neukalen and is a handy base for exploring the area. The charming port city of Rostock (71 km) is under an hour away.

The Amazon of the North

Camping Peenecamp offers a relaxing stay on the banks of the Peene, a river that is also known as the Amazon of the North due to its lush vegetation. Every camping pitch at this campsite is spaciously laid out and offers plenty of privacy due to natural separation with trees and bushes. This natural green environment not only provides a calming sleeping environment, but also a setting in which you can unwind.

If you don't have your own camping equipment, hire one of the holiday homes. What makes these little house so special is that they are by the water of the river which adds to a feeling of calm and a bit of adventure.

Camping Peenecamp serves as an excellent starting point for trips to explore Mecklenburgische Schweiz, the 'Switzerland of Mecklenburg-Voor-Pommeren'. As a walker or cyclist, you will find numerous routes here that take you along Lake Kummerow, through forests and past rural villages.

The nearby village of Neukalen (500 m), with its charming street, shops and restaurants offer enjoyment every day of the week. For families, there is also a playground and animal pasture in the vicinity.
