You will find Camping am See in the town of Alt Schwerin in northern Germany, east of Hamburg. What makes this campsite in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region unique is its location: the campsite grounds are situated lengthwise along a large lake, the Plauer See. Here, everyone can enjoy views of the water! The Plauer See is a popular lake for boating: with a private yacht, a rented boat or with a tourist boat, complete with a captain, guide, food and drink.

What a view!
It doesn't get better than this: a radiant view stretching as far as the eye can see. All the camping pitches have been thoughtfully marked and arranged so that everyone has - and keeps - as beautiful a view as possible. The 138 touring pitches are beautifully landscaped, relatively spacious (180-120 m2), and are situated on full grass. You will find guests on this campsite from all over Europe. Young families will feel right at home here, if only because of the child-friendly playing areas.
Swimming in the lake or boating on the lake
There is no swimming pool here as you can always swim in the lake. The water is refreshingly chilly! All the pitches are situated by the water, so you will not have to walk far. Here and there are some sandy beaches, but you can also enter the water from the bank itself. Some spots on the lake shore have been converted to a slipway where you can launch your boat.
Cosy restaurant
The campsite has a fine restaurant. The restaurant is small and welcoming, reasonably priced, and has views of the lake.
