Picture a campsite that borders on the Wadden Sea, a large forest and an extensive heathland. Camping Muschelgrund is a beautiful destination for nature lovers in the broadest sense of the word. Crossing mudflats, walking through the woods or cycling through a varied landscape can all be done right from your pitch. Camping Muschelgrund is about 7 kilometres from Cuxhaven, one of the nicest places in Lower Saxony.

What accommodation options are there?
On the neatly landscaped and well-maintained grounds of this campsite, there are demarcated pitches. As a rule, the largest touring pitches are reserved for large motorhomes and caravans. It is also striking that there are a fair number of fixed pitches. However, the young owners want to realise more touring pitches in the long run.
Enjoy life on the beach at the Wadden Sea
This campsite is an excellent holiday address for those who love life on the beach. To get to the vast Sahlenburger Strand, you only need to cross a cycle/footpath at the campsite entrance. Then you can go for a lovely swim or go kitesurfing. A recommendation is a guided walk over the mudflats to the Neuwerk island, which is a couple of kilometres from the coast. If you like to travel with your dog, there is a dog beach right next to the campsite.
A variety of hiking/cycling options
If you fancy something other than the beach and mudflats, grab your hiking shoes or your (rental) bicycle and go on great trips through the interior of this part of Lower Saxony. There is a lovely variety of rural areas and wooded landscapes.
